It took Mick 5 rounds of the Championship to secure the title - with wins at Crewe and Tamworth and runners-up places at Newbury and Maritime it was enough to wrap it up with a round to spare. Mick took three TQ's along the way, too!
To top off a great season Mick also qualified for the Spec Class European Championships A final, with a 6th place finish being the result. This was a massive highlight after a season spent working towards this event.
Mick comments, 'The season has been real good for me this year - a couple of National wins and a Euros A final is just great! The car has been faultless throughout the season, the different clubs all have different carpets, so it can be a challenge to find a good set up for every event. The Cyclone has done what is now expected and performed. I want to thank my team mates, James Stewart, Andy Moore and Chris Smith for their support too.'
'The new season will see new challenges for all of us with the almost certain move to Lipo power â€" this is good for 12th scale. I am looking forward to the new season and hope to push for more good results.'
The Cyclone 12X that was used by Mick and the team was absolutely kit standard. The battery retention system was removed to lose weight and CRC tyres were the provider of the grip. |
