With nearly all of the details of the top-level Lightning kits, the RTR Lightning 10 Sport is a great stepping stone to the all-out 1/8 rallycross buggy class, making it ideal for young racers and beginners. Pre-assembled and requiring just a few minutes of preparation out of the box, the Lightning 10 Sport features a powerful 2.5cm3 (.15in3) size engine with pullstarter and tuned pipe, strong dual disc brake system, laydown steering servo, sealed receiver box, long-stroke oil-filled coilover shocks, front and rear chassis braces, turnbuckles for adjusting camber and front toe, and plastic chassis side guards.

Racing pin-type tyres are glued to dish wheels so you can get out on the track fast. Even the popular Lightning buggy body gets the '10' treatment; you get a pre-painted racing bodyshell in bright, clear colours, plus a huge rear wing for maximum downforce on the track!

The RTR Lightning 10 Sport features standard-sized components like radio gear, plus standard-size 1/10th buggy tyres, making it an easy jump to start your own 1/10th buggy racing club! You get Hot Bodies Lightning attitude and performance in a pint-sized package!

Controlling the Lightning 10 Sport is the trusty and proven HPI TF-3 radio, which has been used by many RC hobbyists around the world. The realistic steering wheel feel of this type of radio encourages the RC beginner to think of the E10 as a real car driving around a race course, and the feel of pulling back on the throttle trigger is just like stomping on the accelerator of a real car!

The HPI TF-3 radio transmitter features interchangeable frequency crystals, a retractable aerial with sliding cover, easy access to radio adjustments and simple battery replacement.

Taking the signals from the transmitter, the HPI RF-1 receiver uses standard RC connectors to send your control signals to the two SF-1 steering servos which control the steering and throttle/brake. You'll get long-range, reliable connections between your transmitter and car with the RF-1 and dependable steering action from the SF-1 servos.

The receiver box is not only sealed against dirt and mud but mounted well away from the fuel tank to protect everything from any spilled fuel. The wires for the switch are smartly routed, as well.
